Louisa Beighton – Centre Manager
Louisa is our Centre Manager. She manages bookings and the smooth running of the centre and will be your first point of contact when communicating with, or visiting Cotesbach Educational Trust.
Louisa has a background in design and crafts, and outside CET Louisa works as a maker, and freelance designer.
She looks forward to welcoming you to Cotesbach Educational Trust!
Letty Newton (Chair)
Letty is currently Assistant Head of Maths at a secondary school in Hackney. Prior to moving to London in September she completed Teach First, working at a school in Knowsley outside Liverpool and before this spent two years in Hong Kong establishing an extra curricular English program in a university. She graduated from University of Manchester in 2011 with a degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics and spent a year as General Secretary and Chair of the Students’ Union.
Amber Merrick-Potter (Vice Chair)
Amber Merrick-Potter is an arts and heritage specialist, with over 10 years experience working in project management, event curation and creative facilitation. Amber is currently Events Manager at St Andrew’s Church Rugby, and works as a freelance consultant on public realm and greenspace development. Amber graduated with a BA from Solent and MFA from Bath Spa in Fine Arts, this lead onto a successful career as an artist and curator, she has held international residencies, and has paintings in notable collections.
Retired Head of Languages Department and member of the senior management team at a Leicestershire high school, now turned amateur historian, genealogist and volunteer in the Cotesbach Archive.
Rolls-Royce plc’s Global Sustainability manager. Board member of Action 21 (2010), a volunteer-based charity that aims to reduce the environmental impact of the Leamington and Warwick communities and raise awareness of the benefits of sustainable living.
Jo is currently Head of Development at Tate Liverpool and has 10 years’ experience of working within fundraising and partnership development in the third sector. Jo has worked for a range of organisations, from a newly established Social Enterprise working with vulnerable adults, to a children’s cancer charity and now a national arts organisation.
Tom is currently Orchestra Manager for award winning Chamber Orchestra, Sinfonia Cymru. Previously a freelance musician, Tom has over 5 years experience working in the orchestral sector and strives to change attitudes towards classical music and press the relevance of the arts to all.
Sophy Newton (Honorary Heritage Manager)
Design History MA (RCA) and ‘gadfly and initiator’ of the Royal Collection Computer Inventory System (RCCIS) 1985-1991, Sophy and family landed at Cotesbach more by chance than design, and she has been pretty busy ever since.
Andrew McKeand (Honorary Treasurer)
Andrew is a senior lecturer in management at Solihull College, specialising in finance and accountancy. He has lectured and trained both in the UK and abroad and prior to his lecturing career ran an exporting company specialising in selling engineering equipment into the Middle East.
