Cotesbach: Story and Discovery - Wednesday 1st May, 12.30pm-14.30pm

Join Sophy Newton for a walk around Cotesbach Estate: the Hall (outside), Stable Yard and Schoolhouse.

You will see the buildings, garden and material culture through the eyes of historian, gardener and seventh generation of a family in continuous occupation since the Georgian era. You will hear how the place has continuously evolved with changing needs, as people have changed their views and survived the vicissitudes of time.

Voices of the past will be revealed in documents from the archive, and through all of this you will learn about what makes Cotesbach distinctive and why this matters for each one of us today.

Due to the tour being outdoors on uneven ground, it is unfortunately not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs. Please wear sturdy footwear.
